Bookings

All bookings are made on a first come first serve basis.

Deposit, Cancellation and Insurance

A contract is made between The Cart Shed Monmouth and you once we have received your deposit. From that time any deposit you have paid is non- refundable.

If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 21 days before your date of arrival, the deposit will be retained but can be used against a future booking taken within 12 months of the cancellation. For cancellations made after this time, or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling, you will be liable for the total amount. For this reason we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance, for any unforeseen cancellation, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker such as www.guestfirst.co.uk

Your accommodation is available from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival. We would appreciate it if you could phone or email a couple of days before your stay to give us some idea of your arrival time so that there is someone to welcome you, once here you will be given a key so you can come and go as you please.

We ask that you please vacate the accommodation by 10.00 am unless prior arrangements have been made.

Damages and Breakages

You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. there is not usually a charge for breakages, but reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.

Data

Some of the data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer. We would like to hold this data after your visit to be able to inform you of future offers. If you would prefer us not to hold this information please let us know. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for further details.

Liability

We do not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.

Non-Availability

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control e.g. fire, flood etc. All monies paid by you would be refunded. Our liability will not extend beyond this refund for additional expenses.

Prices

The prices for all properties are on a self catering basis. All extras such as BBQ’s are an additional charge. Our preferred method of payment is bank transfer. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, This does not affect bookings already made.

Pets

Dogs are by negotiation as we have our own complete male dogs.

Dogs are not allowed on beds or furniture. Dogs must not be left unattended in the property. Please bring dog basket, cage or blankets for your dog’s.

Children

Must be supervised at all times, their safety is your responsibility.

Smoking

The Cart Shed is strictly a no smoking including vaping. Smoking and vaping is permitted outside, providing cigarette butts are disposed of responsibly.

The Property

The property is situated near the end of a unpaved and sometime bumpy track. We would not recommend driving along the track in very low slung sports cars.

Whilst mobile phone reception is generally quite good and we have WiFi available, food delivery services such as ‘Just Eat’ or ‘Deliveroo’ will not come out to the property.

With the main A40 being just the other side of the river, distant road noise can be heard when sitting outside of the property.

You are very welcome to use the outdoor BBQ or the Log Burner in the lounge. You will need to purchase your own charcoal, but there are plenty of free logs for the log burner. If you do use them, please leave them in a condition you would expect to find them. If you need to dispose of any ashes please use the metal dustbin provided.
